A 4-year-old who police say was beaten to death Monday suffered bruising and abrasions all over his body, and had multiple broken ribs - some of which officials say were in the healing phase from previous fractures, according to a Hamilton County Medical Examiner's Report.
The report shows TyReke Evans' injuries cover his body, and that fresh wounds and abrasions were found alongside old scars and bruises, indicating a history of abuse.
Several of Evans' organs were punctured from broken ribs, and he suffered a "large amount" of internal bleeding. He was pronounced dead on arrival after his mother brought him and his 3-year-old brother to the hospital Monday night.
Evans' little brother, Domaniche Brewer, remains in the intensive care unit at Children's Hospital at Erlanger. The boys' mother, 23-year-old Patricia Brewer, and her boyfriend, 21-year-old Kenneth Coleman, face several charges, including first-degree murder.
Coleman admitted to police that he struck the boys with a belt that night.
