Chattanooga: Cause of death in Saturday fire confirmed

The Hamilton County Medical Examiner's Office has confirmed the cause of death in last Saturday's house fire at 70 Maude St.

A medical examiner today said that 14-month-old Destiny Jackson died from smoke inhalation. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

Destiny and her brother, 2 1/2 year-old Antonio, were in a sitter's care when the fire struck.

Antonio was treated at T.C. Thompson Children's Hospital. The sitter, Brandy Curry, was taken to the Joseph M. Still Burn Center in Augusta, Ga
