CLEVELAND, Tenn. - Walker Valley High School students got to choose Friday from twelve presentations during a career day devoted to science.

Among the possibilities was emergency medical service, represented by an Air-Evac Lifeteam who landed their helicopter on the front lawn.

Other career possibilities to explore included Blood Assurance's presentation on identifying blood types. There were also representatives from a variety of area industries and services, from chemical engineers, pharmacists, wildlife officers and more.

"The goal is to give our students as much hands-on experience as we possibly can and show them the relevance of what they are learning,'' said Jenny Borden, Science Department Chairman.
