This morning, Hamilton County Commissioners voted to pay two former Trustee's office employees $145,000 to settle wrongful termination claims brought against former Trustee Carl Levi. The terminated employees were Sue Bush and Colleen Davis.
Commissioner Tim Boyd called for all of the county's constitutional offices to come under the county general government Human Resources guidelines. Now only certain offices adhere to those guidelines while others, like the County Clerk's and Trustee's Office, follow their own.
"I'm disappointed that our constitutional officers are out there running their offices without some accountability," Boyd said.
