Name of fatal fire victim released

The name of a 49-year-old woman who died in a Saturday fire has been released.

Rebecca Ann Moore died from smoke inhalation after fire raced through her home at 514 Tall Timber Trail shortly before 7 a.m., said Bruce Garner, spokesman for the Chattanooga Fire Department.

Investigators are still trying to determine what started the fire, Garner said.

Her boyfriend, Jonathon Havron, said that, when the two woke to the smell of smoke, he wanted to get out of the house, but Ms. Moore wanted get her dog first, Garner said.

The two became separated and Havron said he escaped through a window, Garner said, while Moore's body was found by firefighters inside the house.
