BLOUNTVILLE, Tenn. - A jury in Blountville, Tenn., continues deliberations in the sex abuse trial of a former Catholic priest accused of molesting an altar boy.

Jurors met for about three hours on Wednesday afternoon after receiving the case of 77-year-old William Casey, who is charged with two counts of aggravated rape and one count of first-degree sexual misconduct.

The Associated Press does not routinely identify people who allege they are victims of sex crimes, but 46-year-old Warren Tucker of Jeffersonville, Ind., has gone public with claims that Casey molested him. Tucker was a teenager and attended the church school at St. Dominic's Catholic Church in Kingsport when Casey was the senior priest there in the 1970s.

Defense attorney Rick Spivey told jurors the state had failed to prove its charges against Casey.
