Chattanooga police investigate possible drowning

Chattanooga police are working a possible drowning incident that occurred earlier this evening at 7310 Faye Drive, according to spokeswoman Sgt. Jerri Weary.

Police responded to the home around 5:30 p.m. after family members found 45-year-old Kevin Johnson floating in his pool. Johnson was pronounced dead at the scene, Weary said.

According to family members, Johnson had been working in the yard for most of the day and was there when he was last seen.

The cause of death is unknown, Weary said. His body has been transported to the medical examiner's office for autopsy and official cause of death, she said.
