Chattanooga: House fire reported in Eagle Bluff

A house burns on Players Court in the Eagle Bluff subdivision of Hamilton County on Saturday. Fire companies from three departments - Dallas Bay, East Ridge and Tri-Community, backed up the Highway 58 Volunteer Fire Department in battling the blaze. A home in the Eagle Bluff subdivision off State Highway 58 burned to the ground Saturday afternoon.

The house at Players Court was engulfed in flame when the first firefighters from Highway 58 Volunteer Fire Department arrived around 1:20 p.m., according to Amy Maxwell with Hamilton County Emergency Services.

Fire companies from three departments - Dallas Bay, East Ridge and Tri-Community, backed up the Highway 58 department in battling the blaze, but the house could not be saved, Maxwell said.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
