A former manager and bookkeeper for the Cagle Fredonia Utility District in Sequatchie County has been arrested after an audit revealed she took almost $33,000 in utility district collections, according to a release from the state comptroller's office.

Former utility district manager Charlotte Turner was charged with theft over $10,000 on an indictment in late May by the Sequatchie County grand jury, auditors said.

Auditors said Turner admitted to the theft when they interviewed her.
