CLEVELAND, Tenn. - The future of Blue Springs Elementary School, demolished by the April 27 tornadoes, was mapped out by the Bradley County Board of Education Thursday.
The board agreed not to rebuild or repair on the present site.
Board members said negotiations between architects, acting on behalf of the school system and the insurance company, could be a lengthy process.
"I don't want to wait,'' said Board member Christy Critchfield in making the motion. "I want the Blue Springs community to know we are going to be proactive.
The board also authorized Director Johnny McDaniel to negotiate with a property owner on Blue Springs Road at Old Federal Road.
