Chickamauga: Culpepper reappointed to Civil War commission

Georgia Gov. Nathan Deal has reappointed John Culpepper, city manager of Chickamauga, Ga., to the Georgia Civil War Commission, according to a news release.

Culpepper has been Chickamauga city manager for 32 years and has served as chairman of the Georgia Civil War Commission for four years, the release stated.

He is a board member of the Walker County Historic Preservation Commission and Friends of Chickamauga & Chattanooga National Military Park.

He also is founder of the Chickamauga Campaign Heritage Trail and the co-chair for Tri-State Civil War 150th Commemoration Association, the release stated.
