GPS' rising senior point guard Chadarryl Clay has verbally committed to sign a basketball scholarship with Auburn University.

Clay, who chose the Lady Tigers over offers from eight others schools, including Clemson, Virginia Tech, Ole Miss, Alabama, Wkae Forest and the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.

"I had actually just gotten back from Tennessee's camp Sunday night and called Coach (Nell) Fortner on Monday just to chat," Clay said. "After we hung up I thought about it a lot and by that night, I decided to call back and commit. I've got a great relationship with that staff, so I just decided to go ahead and let it be known that's where I'll play in college."
