The Sale Creek Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched this morning to a house fire on 11325 Armstrong Road, according to officials.

Firefighters arrived on scene within minutes, reporting heavy fire showing in the rear of the home.

The report said they were able to quickly contain the fire to one area of the house.

"Firefighters did a great job to contain it to one area of the house, which alleviated roof damage or structure collapse," Chief Tony Reavley said.

Chief Reavley said the fire appears to have started in the laundry room and an investigation by the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office will be conducted to determine the cause.

There were no injuries reported in the fire but the damage to the home was listed to be between $35,000-$40,000.
