EPB working to restore power to 3,800 homes, businesses

EPB officials said this morning that crews working around the clock have restored power to all but about 3,800 homes and businesses.

"While we have restored power to over 1,000 homes and businesses throughout the night, we are still working hard to restore power to all of our customers affected by the severe damage of Monday's storm," said Lacie Newton of EPB's corporate communications.

Power outages still are scattered throughout about EPB's 600-square-miles service area, from Hixson, Red Bank and Signal Mountain to Haletown, Sale Creek, Lookout Valley and Ooltewah/Collegedale - and more areas in between, she said.
