The Wildcats posted a 69-53 win over the College of Charleston in the first round and Davidson (14-16) will face top-seeded Appalachian State (23-5) in the quarterfinals Friday morning.

A 6-foot-4 sophomore forward, Aleksandravicius dominated the first half, scoring 17 points and blocking four shots. The first-team all-conference pick was held to 6 points in the second, but she got a lot of help. Ashley Lax scored 11 of her 18 points in the second and Kristen Johnsen scored all 11 of her points in the final 20 minutes.

The Cougars (10-20) led for most of the first half despite Aleksandravicius's efforts, but Davidson played better as the period progressed and led 31-30 at the half. Janae Smith led Charleston with 18 points.
