Anna Freeman scored 21 points and Ashlen Dewart added 13 to lead top-seeded Appalachian State to a 73-63 win over No. 8 seed Davidson today in the Southern Conference women's basketball tournament.

The SoCon regular-season champions led by 10, 35-25, at the half and held off a couple of Davidson rallies. The Wildcats cut the lead to a point a couple of times, but Appalachian State was able to hold on every time.
