The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga softball team almost pulled off the stunner of the season on Sunday at the Bulldog Invitational.
The Lady Mocs (12-5) built a 3-0 lead on No. 1-ranked Georgia, before the Lady Bulldogs rallied for two runs in the bottom of the seventh for a 4-3 win.
UTC was led by third baseman Tiffany Baker, who went 3-for-2 against Georgia with a home run in the third inning.
Pitcher Michelle Fuzzard pitched 6 1/3 innings and allowed four runs on six hits.
Earlier Sunday, Baker hit a three-run home run in the ninth inning to lift the Lady Mocs to a 9-7 win over Campbell.
