2 injured in shootings outside Shallowford Road nightclub

Two Chattanooga men were injured in shootings this morning outside a nightclub on Shallowford Road, according to a police news release.

Sharron Arnold, 23, told Chattanooga police he was standing outside his vehicle at a club called Stepping Out, 4295 Shallowford Road, about 5:30 a.m. when someone started firing a weapon. He was truck in the calf and thigh, according to the release from Sgt. Jerri Weary.

Two other men, David Craddock Jr., 21, and Reginald Yearby Jr., 19, told police they were riding by the club when gunfire erupted. They said they drove to the Harriett Tubman Homes where they called Saundra Williams, 20, to pick them up. The three were driving in the area of 1800 N. Hawthorne St. when their vehicle was shot at again and Williams was hit in the shoulder and face, Weary said.

The wounded were taken to local hospitals in personal vehicles and neither has life-threatening injuries, Weary said.

The incidents are being investigated separately, she said. The motives for the shootings are unknown and there are no suspects.
