Tennessee census data due out at 2 p.m.

The U.S. Census Bureau will release its first batch of 2010 census data for Tennessee around 2 p.m. today.

The data will include population totals for cities, congressional districts, counties, school districts, voting districts and other geographic areas. It will also provide some information on race and age.

The today's release, which was collected from the census forms mailed to every home in America early last year, is intended to give state leaders guidance on redrawing legislative districts and was given to the governor and legislative leaders Tuesday.
