Storm experts survey possible Tennessee tornado touch downs

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Storm experts will survey at least three areas of Tennessee to determine whether tornadoes touched down as storms struck the state.

National Weather Service forecaster David Gaffin in the Morristown office says an assessment team will look at storm damage around Greenback in Loudon County after sunrise. There are reports that at least two people were taken to hospitals after a storm struck there Wednesday night.

The Nashville NWS office expects to survey damage near Watertown in Wilson County and near Sparta in White County after severe weather caused damage in those communities.

The Tennessee Emergency Management Agency says there are no reports of deaths or serious injuries from the storms.

The forecast for today calls for calm weather with cooler temperatures statewide.
