Severe storm heading for valley

Severe thunderstorms with continuous lightning, high winds and large hail are threatening the Tennessee Valley, according to a bulletin from the National Weather Service.

The severe thunderstorm warning is in effect until 8 p.m. EDT for Hamilton, Marion and Sequatchie counties.

Communities could see winds up to 60 mph and quarter-sized hail.

People living in the three counties are advised to take precautions.
