Calhoun restaurant owner charged after alcohol served to minors

Police have charged a Calhoun, Ga., restaurant owner in connection with several alcohol violations, including alcohol served to minors.

Calhoun police conducted an undercover sting Friday at Los Maquey Restaurant, 913 Highway 532, Chief Gary Moss said in a news release.

The undercover officers saw underage patrons being served alcohol, alcohol being served after midnight and employees serving alcohol without a servers permit, Moss said.

The owner, Liborio Hernandez-Borilla, was charged with all three violations, Moss said.
