Six arrested, charged with looting in Ringgold

Authorities arrested 6 people on Sunday night caught looting at Ringgold High School and a nearby gas station, Catoosa County Sheriff Phil Summers said.

The suspects, whose names will be released later today, were rummaging through debris when they were spotted, the sheriff said.

Because of looting and traffic, Ringgold authorities once again have limited access to the city to residents and business owners today. Traffic in downtown Ringgold was hindering workers, Summers said.

Authorities will enforce a 9 p.m. curfew in Ringgold tonight, he said.

Any residents in need can go to the assistance centers at Ringgold United Methodist Church, Poplar Springs Baptist Church and Cherokee Valley Baptist Church.
