Bradley County and Cleveland, Tenn., officials are in the process of contracting for debris removal in the storm-damaged areas.
Residents are being asked to pile construction and demolition debris on the road right-of-way, but not on the roads, said Dan Howell, spokesman for the Bradley County mayor. Debris should be kept away from drainage ditches, according to a news release.
Residents are asked to keep vegetative debris separate from these piles and encouraged to burn the debris if possible, Howell said.
Collection of the piled debris should begin later this week, officials said.
