Cleveland, Tenn., police arrested eight people on Tuesday during an early morning drug sweep, according to a news release.
During the seven-hour operation, police informants targeted specific locations in the city where suspected drug activity was taking place, police spokeswoman Officer Evie West said.
Authorities made 37 probable-cause traffic stops, eight felony arrests, two city citations and a state citation, West said.
Eric Moore, Marquis Smith, Roger Barnett, William Ware, Dewayne Julks, Kevin Crosby, Alonzo Hoggatt and Selena Thompson were arrested on various drug possession and sales charges, West said.
