Tennessee lags behind on transportation issues

Tennnessee and 18 other states lag behind others in how they tracks investment into transportation, a study released this morning states.

The Pew Charitable Trust released a 100-page study, "Measuring Transportation Investments: The Road to Results," which analyzes how states track their investment into transportation. The report looked at success in safety, jobs and commerce, mobility, access, environmental stewardship and infrastructure and preservation.

The only categories in which Tennessee received favorable reviews were safety and infrastructure and preservation.
