Police this morning are investigating how a 55-year-old woman found shot in the leg in a Northwest Knoxville business parking lot was injured.
According to Knoxville Police Department Lt. Keith DeBow, officers were alerted at 4:47 a.m. that a woman was shot at the Krystal, 3910 Western Ave.
Officers found Debbie Buchanan sitting in a Chevrolet HHR with a gunshot wound to a leg. She was taken to the University of Tennessee Medical Center for treatment.
DeBow said officers were trying to determine where the shooting occurred.
