CLEVELAND, Tenn. - Alternative school head Cliff Eason was named today to fill the District Four vacancy on the Bradley County Commission.
Eason is principal of the Teen Learning Center, the Cleveland City Schools' alternative school.
Commission Chairman Louie Alford said Eason likely will be sworn into office next Monday at the commission's 7 p.m. work session.
Eason was the only nominee whose name was placed before the commission. He will serve until the 2012 county elections.
The vacancy was created by the resignation of Howard Thompson, who also entered a guilty plea in court to one charge of attempted theft.
