Chattanooga police have identified the victim of a shooting Sunday night.
Demarcus Bumpass, 19, told police he was sitting on a porch at 7732 Nautical Way when a man clad in a dark, hooded sweatshirt approached and opened fire, said police spokeswoman Sgt. Jerri Weary.
Bumpass turned to run and was struck in the left heel as he fled, Weary said. He was taken to a local hospital, where he was treated and released.
About five to six shots were fired and police said they are still working on suspect details.
