The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga has been selected as the team to beat in the Southern Conference.
According to a survey released by the league this morning, SoCon coaches have picked UTC to win its eighth straight conference championship. UTC has won 35 straight conference meets over a seven-year span. The Mocs were picked ahead of Appalachian State.
UTC also had four wrestlers named to the preseason all-conference team - Demetrius Johnson (125), Dean Pavlou (149), Dan Waddell (157) and Niko Brown (197).
