Chattanooga: Man killed when hit by train in apparent Halloween suicide

A man was killed this evening when a train struck him in an apparent suicide, police said.

Police received a call asking them to do a well-being check on an individual on train tracks near 3900 Cromwell Road in Chattanooga, said police department spokeswoman Sgt. Jerri Weary.

They found a white male dead on the scene. Officers can't determine his age because of his position on the tracks, Weary said.
