A Ringgold High School football player turned himself into Catoosa County Jail this morning on drug-related charges.

Jermichael Tillery, a senior linebacker, was arrested and charged with conspiracy to posses and distribute marijuana, officials said.

The charges stem from an attempted drug deal at a Catoosa County car wash in August, an incident report shows.

Originally police were told Tillery had waved a gun at another man, but a three-week investigation shows Tillery was attempting to sell another man, Bradley Jones, drugs when the two men got in an argument, said Lookout Mountain Judicial Circuit Drug Task Force Commander Larry Black.

Jones was also arrested.

Black said the investigation is ongoing and he couldn't comment further at this time.
