A 30-year-old Chattanooga man has been arrested in connection with the shooting death last night of a 19-year-old.

Lathe Corbin was taken into custody just after 10 a.m. today after he turned himself in, said Chattanooga police spokeswoman Sgt. Jerri Weary said.

Corbin has been charged with criminal homicide, aggravated assault, and reckless endangerment, she said.

Aundre Bush was killed after being shot in the head Monday evening in the 1900 block of Southern Street near the Harriet Tubman public housing development, police said.

It appears the shooting was the result of a dispute between some teenage girls, Weary said.

Witnesses told police that a large fight was taking place between two largely female groups when a black male started shooting in the crowd, Weary said.

Bush was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead, Weary said.
