Melvin DavisTwo emergency responders who transported a man injured on a ropes course to the hospital are under investigation, officials said.
County paramedic Timothy Waldo and EMT Jamie Jackson were put on administrative leave without pay after an internal investigation began Thursday, said Don Allen, administrator of human services for Hamilton County.
Allen would not say why the two are under investigation or who complained about their medical care of Melvin Davis.
The investigation is set to be tied up by 10 a.m. Wednesday morning.
Davis was found by a hiker hanging from a rope on a challenge course on Greenway Farms on Thursday. He told the hiker he had been hanging by his ankle for two days.
The family of Davis said they want privacy.
Davis, 57, is still in critical condition at Erlanger Hospital.
"On behalf of the family, we thank the entire community for its concern," a statement sent by Erlanger officials from Davis' children stated. "What happened to our father is unimaginable, but through God's grace he is surviving. Our father is very loved, and we ask for continual prayers and support. We are also so thankful to the individual who rescued our father and called for help. At this time, as we focus on our father's health while he is in critical condition."
