An accident on Nelson Road has claimed the life of a 55-year-old man, police say.
Blane W. Justice was pronounced dead on the scene today after an accident at the intersection of Central Drive and Nelson, said Chattanooga police spokeswoman Sgt. Jerri Weary.
About 10 a.m., according to police, Matthew Lettner, 22, was driving south on Central when he failed to stop at the intersection and slammed into the car Justice was driving, Weary said.
The case is still under investigation and no charges have been filed, she said.
