Three more Hamilton County residents to represent state at Democratic National Convention

Three more Hamilton County residents will be representing Tennessee at the Democratic National Convention, bringing the local total to five.

In Nashville this past weekend, state Rep. JoAnne Favors, Democratic State Committeeman Chris Anderson and University of Tennessee at Chattanooga senior Taylor Thomas were selected to be delegates at the convention. Ninety-one delegates and seven alternates will represent Tennessee at the event, which will be Sept. 3-7 in Charlotte, N.C.

Last month in Anderson County, district party members elected Joda Thongnopnua and Jan Brooks to be delegates.
