At 10:10, shortly after Markman's Diamonds at 2104 Hamilton Place Blvd. opened, the suspect entered through the store's front door, brandishing a handgun, Jefferson said.
He ordered employees to fill a bag with cash and jewelry before leading them into a back room, pepper spraying them and fleeing.
The suspect was described to police as a black male, 5-foot-11, 130 pounds, skinny with a dark complexion and wearing brown T-shirt, dark jeans and brown woven hat.
