Partially Africanized bees found in TN for first time

Partially Africanized bees have been found for the first time in Tennessee.

They attacked an East Tennessee beekeeper when he opened a hive about two weeks ago, according to the Tennessee Department of Agriculture.

"He pulled the cover up and the hive pretty much emptied on him," said Mike Studer, state apiarist with the department.
