Chattanooga: Doug Fisher forms alliance with Nashville firm

NASHVILLE - Nashville-based government relations firm Smith Harris & Carr today announced an "alliance" with the Chattanooga public policy company of Fisher and Associates.

Fisher and Associates is owned by Doug Fisher, who formerly worked for Erlanger hospital and served as a congressional district director for former U.S. Rep. Zach Wamp, R-Tenn. He has long been involved in governmental affairs and public relations work.

"I was looking for a respected, ethical, hard-driving partner firm. Smith, Harris & Carr is the perfect fit for me. I look forward to a long lasting relationship with SHC partners Anne Carr, Estie Harris and Meagan Frazier," Fisher said in a news release.

Fisher will split his time among Nashville, Atlanta and Chattanooga.

Smith Harris & Carr's clients include HCA, Ingram Industries Inc., Johnson & Johnson and a variety of professional associations.

Carr said Fisher's "variety of professional experiences has given him a reputation as a fix-it, problem-solver guy. He's goal-oriented and knows how to help clients anticipate hurdles and get results."
