Bradley wheel tax appears headed for defeat

With six of Bradley County's 17 voting precincts reported, opposition to the proposed wheel tax remains at about 75 percent of the vote, according to the Bradley County Election Commission.

"I understand a lot of people went out to vote early because they couldn't wait to vote against the wheel tax," said County Commissioner Mel Griffith, himself a wheel tax opponent.
