Boyfriend faces multiple charges

A Chattanooga man faces 13 charges including aggravated assault, aggravated kidnapping and vehicular assault after police say he attacked his girlfriend and fought with three police officers Friday.

Matthew Raborn, 32, was enraged and thought his girlfriend cheated on him, the police report states. He tried to force her into his pickup truck, but when she got away he drove after her and charged at her in a parking lot at 2118 Stein Drive, the report states.

When officers arrived, Raborn refused orders to stop and instead fought with three officers. After officers subdued Raborn, they found he had a loaded .22-caliber gun, a 6-inch hunting knife and four other knives.

He is being held in the Hamilton County Jail on a $79,100 bond.
