Three arrested on meth charges in Jackson County, Ala.

SKYLINE, Ala. - Authorities in Jackson County, Ala., on Thursday arrested three Skyline residents and charged them in connection with manufacturing methamphetamine, according to a news release.

After a resident complaint, narcotics officers searched a residence on county road 25 in Skyline on Thursday and Friday and found a methamphetamine laboratory and about 20 grams of marijuana, Sheriff Chuck Phillips said in the release.

Arrested were Kenneth Eugene Posey, 25; Donna Marie Posey, 27; and James Robert Sherrell, 27, all of Skyline, authorities said.

Kenneth Posey was charged with manufacture of controlled substances first degree, possession of marijuana first degree and possession of drug paraphernalia. Donna Posey was charged with manufacture of controlled substances first degree and possession of marijuana second degree, and Sherrell was charged with manufacture of controlled substance first degree, according to the release.

A fourth person who fled the residence is being sought, authorities said.

All three defendants are in the Jackson County Jail awaiting bond hearings, the release stated.
