DALTON, Ga. - Authorities say the southbound lanes of Interstate 75 in north Georgia were blocked as hazardous materials crews work to clean up a chemical spill in the Dalton area.

WSB Radio in Atlanta reports that a semitrailer overturned near Carbondale Road and exit 326, and the southbound lanes were blocked around 6 a.m. Thursday. The accident scene is about 30 miles south of Chattanooga, Tenn.

WTVC-TV in Chattanooga reports that the truck was carrying formaldehyde. No injuries were reported.

It was not immediately clear when the soutbound lanes of the interstate would be reopened.
