Davidson leads Lady Mocs at half

Despite what the numbers would indicate, the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga women's basketball team is in today's game against Davidson at McKenzie Arena.

The Wildcats are dominating the statistics, namely shooting percentage and rebounding, but they lead the Lady Mocs 25-23 at the half. The score was initially 25-22, but during halftime the officials looked at the video replay of a Ka'Vonne Towns shot late in the half and ruled it a 3-pointer.

Davidson, which is tied with Appalachian State for first in the Southern Conference, hit 12 of 30 first-half shots and grabbed 26 rebounds. UTC was 8 of 31 from the field and has 16 rebounds.

Prior to the game, UTC honored seniors Whitney Hood, Tenisha Townsend, Capriee Tucker and Kiara Smith (who is serving as a team manager this season due to a bad knee).
