Deer accident
A man was killed in Catoosa County Wednesday morning after his pickup truck struck a deer, authorities said.
Jimmy Bridges, 61, from Ringgold, Ga. was driving a pickup truck on Three Notch Road near Poplar Springs Road when a deer entered his lane, Georgia State Patrol spokesman Gordy Wright said.
The vehicle struck the deer, and the animal traveled through the windshield, struck Bridges and landed in the bed of the truck. The truck came to rest in the northbound lane of Three Notch Road, Wright said.
