Jim FolknerThree Chattanooga residents picked up petitions early this morning to run for a mayoral recall election in August.
Jim Folkner, with Citizens to Recall Mayor Littlefield, Landon Howard and former city employee Guy Satterfield picked up petitions when the Hamilton County Election Commission office opened at 8 a.m.
The trio are the first to try for a mayoral run even as the courts still decide on whether an election will take place. Mayor Ron Littlefield has sued in Circuit Court and a hearing is set for February 10 in Circuit Court Judge Jeff Hollingsworth's court.
