Cleveland High School hires Ron Crawford as new football coach

Cleveland High School has announced the hiring of Ron Crawford as its new head football coach.

Crawford had been head coach at Brentwood High School in Nashville since 2002, winning the TSSAA Class 5A state in his first season.

Crawford's record as a head coach is 94-32, and he also served as defensive coordinator at Riverdale High School under coach Gary Rankin, winning state titles in 1997 and 2001, finishing as state runners-up in 1995 and 2000.
