Chattanooga: Jury chosen for murder trial of Walter Glenn in 2009 death

Jury selection is complete in the first day of the murder trial of a 37-year-old Chattanooga man.

Walter Glenn faces a charge of first-degree murder in the Dec. 20, 2009, death of 17-year-old Carlton Braswell.

The jury is comprised of 10 white jurors and three black jurors. Glenn is black.

Tennessee Bureau of Investigation agents found Glenn hiding beneath a home in Nashville in early February 2010, weeks after he was placed on Hamilton County's "most wanted" list in connection with Braswell's death.

Glenn tried to fire his appointed attorney, Ben McGowan, weeks before the trial started.

Hamilton County Criminal Court Judge Rebecca Stern denied Glenn's request for a new attorney.
