Marion County resident Roger Tant hasn't been seen since March but local authorities didn't know that until his sister reported him missing in late June.

Now, officials want the public's help in trying to locate him.

His wife, Patricia Tant, told officials she came home from a trip on March 10 and her husband was gone, Marion authorities said. Patricia Tant didn't report him missing, however, according to investigators.

Sheriff Ronnie "Bo" Burnett said Roger Tant's friends say it's unlike him to go anywhere without letting someone know.

"Right now, we don't have any leads," Burnett said today. "Maybe somebody out there has seen him or talked to him."

Friends say Tant is an "outdoors type" who likes to ride four-wheelers and walk and hike in the woods, Burnett said.

"But as far as that goes, that's all been accounted for," the sheriff said.

Anyone with information on Roger Tant's whereabouts should contact the Marion County Sheriff's Office at 423-942-2525 or the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation at 1-800-824-3463 (1-800-TBI-FIND).
