TSSAA votes to stay with six classifications

NASHVILLE - The TSSAA Board of Control voted by the narrowest margin to continue using the six classification system for the next four years. The board voted 5-4 in favor of using the system that had been used the previous four years, rather than going back to the five classification system which was used the previous 16 years.

The board also voted unanimously to retain the 1.8 multiplier for private schools that play opt not to give need-based financial aid and continue competing in Division I.
